Shirodhara

Probably the most common Ayurvedic treatment is Shirodhara. The term “shir” refers to the third eye that is located in the centre of the forehead. The term “dhara” refers to pouring. Special herbal oil is prepared by the experts that have soothing properties and properties of healing or relieving pain. It is slowly poured onto the third eye and this heals all sorts of headaches and gives the body a soothing sensation. As the third eye has a special position in the body, it has connection with the body’s or mind’s comfort. The third eye oil Ayurvedic massage treatment is very beneficial for the entire body

Tharpanam:

The Ayurveda experts of the best resorts in Kerala that offer the Ayurvedic treatments often recommend the Tharpanam treatment for those, who suffer from eye problems. Medicated ghee that has Ayurvedic ingredients in it is kept in the eyes for about 15 to 30 minutes. To make sure that the ghee doesn’t pour down the eyes, a special paste of Ayurvedic leaves is used to make a boundary around the eyes.

Pizhichil:

This therapy is a beautiful combination of two classical Ayurvedic treatments, Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation). The whole body is bathed in streams of lukewarm medicated oil with simultaneous soft massage. Three therapists attend to the client, focusing on their particular needs. More than three liters of relaxing, medicated oil is used in this therapy. Pizhichil protects the body from illnesses and builds up immunity for a healthy life. It is very useful for rheumatic diseases, arthritis, paralysis, sexual weakness, neurological disorders, blood pressure, nervous weakness and helps to arrest the aging process.

Lepanam:

Lepanam is an ancient body massage and body spa technique that is adopted in the recent times by many cosmetic companies and salons. In this Ayurvedic treatment, the body is wrapped in a herbal paste. This helps in treating inflammation of the body.
